SendFriend, Inc. is concerned about privacy issues and wants you to be familiar with how we collect, use and disclose information. This Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with information that we collect through our websites from which you are accessing this policy, including www.sendfriend.io (the “Websites”), through the software applications made available by us for use on or through computers and mobile devices (the “Apps”), as well as through HTML-formatted email messages that we send to you that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, including the Websites and Apps, the “Services”). By providing Personal Information to us or using the Services, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

 

Information we may collect about you.

 

We may collect, through the means described here, the following information:

    • Personal Information you give us. “Personal Information” is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable person. We collect your
      Personal Information when you provide it to us, such as when you register to use our Services, [participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on the Services,] enter a competition, promotion or survey, report a problem with our Services or otherwise communicate with us. The Personal Information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, financial information (including credit card, debit card, or bank account information), social security number and government issued ID’s.

      • Details of the transactions you carry out on when using our Services, including but not limited to; sender and recipient name, addresses, service provider/payer, bank information, mobile number.

      • Information about your use of the Services, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from the Services (including date and time); products you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our Customer Support number.

 

  • Information we receive from other sources. We work closely with third parties and may receive information about you from them. These third parties may include, for example, banks and payment service providers you use to transfer money to us; banks and payment service providers of your recipient; business partners; sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services; advertising networks; analytics providers; search information providers; credit reference agencies; public databases; and social media platforms.If you log in to our Services using your social media account (for example, Facebook or Google) we will receive relevant information that is necessary to enable our Services and authenticate you. The social media network will provide us with access to certain information that you have provided to them, including your name, profile image and e-mail address. We use such information, together with any other information you directly provide to us when registering or using our Services, to create your account and to communicate with you about the information, products and services that you request from us. You may also be able to specifically request that we have access to the contacts in your social media account so that you can send a referral link to your family and friends. We will use, disclose and store all of this information in accordance with this privacy policy.

 

Cookies and Similar Technologies

 

Our Website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our Website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience and also allows us to improve our Website. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Website, pages visited, language preferences, and other anonymous traffic data. We and our service providers use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, to personalize your experience while using the Services and to recognize your computer in order to assist your use of the Services. Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used in connection with the Services to, among other things, track the actions of users (including email recipients), measure the success of our marketing campaigns and compile statistics about usage of the Services and response rates.

 

We may use third-party analytics providers, such as Google Analytics and Inspectlet which use cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about use of the Services and report on activities and trends. These third parties may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps and online resources. Do Not Track Policy. Your browser may offer “Do Not Track” functionality, which allows you to notify websites that you do not wish operators to track certain online activities. SendFriend does not support Do Not Track requests at this time.

 

Third Party Advertisers

 

We may use third-party advertising companies to serve advertisements regarding goods and services that may be of interest to you when you access and use the Services and other websites, apps or online services, based on information relating to your access to and use of the Services and other websites, apps or online services on any of your devices. To do so, these companies may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser (including through use of pixel tags). They may also use these technologies, along with information they and we collect about your online use, to recognize you across the devices you use, such as a mobile phone and a laptop.

If we combine Other Information with Personal Information, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information as long as it is combined.

  • to assist us in conducting or co-operating in investigations of fraud or other illegal activity, or to respond to requests from public and government authorities (including those outside your country of residence), where we believe it is reasonable and appropriate to do so;

  • to assess financial and insurance risks, and to protect our operations and those of any of our affiliates;
  • to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain

  • to develop customer relationships, services and systems.

 

Your Choices Regarding our Use of your Personal Information

 

If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us on a going-forward basis, you may opt-out by following the instructions in any such email. We will try to comply with your request(s) as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt-out, we may still send you important administrative messages, from which you cannot opt-out.

 

Third Party Services

 

Our Services may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, advertisers, affiliates, and others. The inclusion of a link on the Services does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that we are not responsible for the privacy, information or other practices of any of these third parties.

 

In addition, we are not responsible for the information collection, use, disclosure or security policies or practices of other organizations, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, RIM or any other app developer, app provider, operating system provider, wireless service provider or device manufacturer, including with respect to any Personal Information you disclose to other organizations through or in connection with the Apps.

 

How do we protect your Personal Information

 

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization and are PCI Compliant – tokenizing the data, all credit and debit card data stored with the processor, SendFriend will not store PCI Data within SendFriend data servers. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of your account has been compromised), please immediately notify us in accordance with the “Contact” section below.

 

Access to information

 

If you would like to review, correct, update, suppress or delete Personal Information that you have previously provided to us, you may contact us at our Customer Support number.

 

In your request, please make clear what Personal Information you would like to have changed, whether you would like to have your Personal Information suppressed from our database or otherwise let us know what limitations you would like to put on our use of your Personal Information. For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Information associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

 

Please note that we may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion. There may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed.

 

Use of Services by Minors

 

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of eighteen (18), and we request that they not provide Personal Information through the Services.

 

Cross-Border Transfer

 

Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers, and by using the Services you consent to the transfer of information to countries outside of your country of residence, including the United States and the Philippines, which may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country.

For all requests, please include your name, street address (if you would like a response via postal mail), city, state, and zip code. We will not accept requests via telephone or fax. We are not responsible for notices that are not labeled or sent properly, or do not have complete information.

 

Your Consent

 

By submitting or providing to us your Personal Information, you consent to the use of that information as set out in this Privacy Policy. If you apply for employment or work placement, you may need to provide information about your education, employment, right to work, and state of health.
